Engineering
Based on the approved 3D visualisation, our interdisciplinary engineering team designs the patient-specific surgical solution - whether that is a custom implant, a surgical guide system, or both.
What our engineers do in this step:
- Design the implant geometry or guide structure directly onto the patient's 3D anatomy
- Optimise the implant surface, lattice structure, and fixation points for mechanical performance and osseointegration depending on the type
- Design patient-specific drilling or cutting guides that lock onto the patient's unique bone surface, prescribing the exact drill location, angle, and depth
- Run engineering checks to validate fit, load distribution, and manufacturability
- Prepare the final design files for your review
Our team combines veterinary anatomical expertise with biomedical engineering - every design is reviewed by disciplines before it proceeds to approval.
Turnaround: Surgical guide design is completed within 8 working days of order. Implant design within 10-60 working days depending on the complexity.
You remain in control throughout: no production begins until you have reviewed and approved the design.
