Tibial implant

In a cat, the bones in the right hindlimb did not heal properly following a previous surgery (a tibial non-union developed), so the animal was referred to Dr. Antal Seregi for an orthopaedic examination. After consulting with him, we designed a customized plate for the cat that not only joined and stabilized the two tibial segments, but also included a latticed section that, when filled with bone marrow, supported bone healing and osseointegration.
